Case Study 2
Mr D is diagnosed with dementia and lives in a care home. Mr D is quite capable of leaving the building and likes to spend time in the garden. His carers like to encourage him to spend time in the garden but would just like to know when he leaves the building and to be alerted when he has spent as certain amount of time in the garden or is at risk there.
Mr D wears a My Amego™ device and his profile is set up to indicate that exits Mr D can use and a maximum time limit by location is set up for areas of the garden. A pager alarm notifies care professionals if he enters an area of risk or stays too long in the garden.
Mr D does not like Mr B and can be violent towards him. The profiles of both Mr D and Mr B are set to indicate that the two individuals should not normally be in the same room or area. A pager alarm is triggered if they are present in the same room or area at the same time.
